The Perks of Having Cancer

An Inspirational, Positive and Humorous View of a Not-So-Inspirational, Positive or Humorous Situation
When Diana Bosse was first diagnosed with lymphoma in April of 2019, she promised herself that she would stay positive throughout the difficult road ahead. That journey ultimately ended with a full remission of the cancer as well as her first book, a 231-page poignant, witty and laugh-out
loud journal of the day-to day discoveries, surprises and indignities of battling cancer.

Everything Tastes the Same. This can be a sad side effect from chemo. Pills
taste like pills. Honey Nut Cheerios taste like pills. The cardboard box
from the Honey Nut Cheerios tastes like pills. Nothing tastes good...just
the same.

On the other hand, this can be a real plus if you have a family
member with cancer who happens to be a picky eater. You can feed them
anything – even Brussel sprouts. Which by the way, I’ve always believed got
a bad rap. They are delicious. Even as very large, green pills.
